How to connect my Nintendo DS Lite to the internet that is not mine?

How come my Nintendo DS Lite connects to the internet at my friend’s house but not at mine?

NintendoDSLite

The fact that you can connect wirelessly elsewhere suggests that the problem lies with your wireless set-up.The Service Set Identifier. or SSID, is used to announce the presence of your Wi-Fi network.

Turning this feature off makes the network invisible, and can help – in theory at least – to avoid attracting the unwanted attentions of any passing hackers. It also makes the network invisible to your Nintendo DS, hence the problem, Turn SSID broadcasting back on in your router (refer to your manual if you’re not sure how to do this) and try to connect again.

You should be successful this time.
